Human dragon disciple / spellsword, possibly played by Adam.
A king without a kingdom, Arthanos depends on the power of his blood, and the pacts of his ancestors, as he seeks the remnants of his subjects, and allies to support a crusade to reclaim his homeland. He takes great pains with his appearance, both physical and reputational.
A couple hundred years ago, Arthanos' ancestors forged pacts with celestials, promising to found and rule a just kingdom, if only the celestials would provide them aid in securing their borders, and advice, from time to time. For the most part, they succeeded, though it was a small kingdom, their Dumnon. In Arthanos' grandfather's day, darkness rose in Dumnon, as jealousy and ambition led a cousin to make his own, darker pacts. The cousin, Morgim, raised an army, and the realm fell to ruin and civil war. Mogrim killed King Uthrael, and then he and Prince Derfel slew each other, in a great battle on the fields of Calmost. Little of the leadership of either side survived, and faithful retainers got the baby Arthanos to safety, and raised him on the quest to re-establish Dumnon, which is now little more than a haunted waste.
To achieve his quest, Arthanos would need both a decent-sized army with which to drive out orcs, bandits, and cultists of dark powers, and magical assistance to cleanse the corruption from the land. And then he would need hardy settlers, ready to break ground and essentially found a new kingdom.
