This medallion looks like a military decoration of some sort: a cloth ribbon with pin, and a medal that hangs from it. It’s large and beautifully made, in the shape of a sunburst—an enameled red star on a disc of white gold, with golden rays all around it.

The medallion of the dawn is an artifact, centuries old. Legend says that it dates back to the War of Nightfall, and that it was crafted by the Oracle of the Solar Mysteries (a semi-mythical figure herself). An inscription on the back in Old Videran says: Victory to those who, in the darkness, can see light.

The powers of the medallion are said to be many, but reveal themselves only reluctantly.
