Whip made from the tongue of a mighty fiend.
This whip was the actual tongue of the great div Niyaz?, the “demon of want” who caused mortals to covet riches and possessions which would be their downfall. After Niyaz was defeated by elite djinni warriors, its tongue was made into a weapon, which the leader of the victorious djinn presented as a gift to the mortal adventurers who made this victory possible.
The tongue of Niyaz is a +3 keen unholy corrosive burst whip; unlike a normal whip, it deals 1d4 points of lethal damage, and can harm enemies with armor or natural armor. It has two special powers:
Voice of Niyaz: Thrice per day, the wielder of the tongue of Niyaz can crack the whip as a full-round action, producing a blasphemy effect (DC 22).
Curse of Niyaz: At will, the wielder of the tongue of Niyaz can strike a living enemy as a full-round action, inflicting the curse of Niyaz. The DC of the Will save to resist the curse is 23 (25 if the attack is a critical hit, but only 21 if the enemy takes no acid damage from the attack). The curse of Niyaz has no relevance in combat, but is unusually difficult to remove, unless the victim is a person of great virtue (which most are not).
Finally, the wielder of the tongue of Niyaz gains a +8 profane bonus against all magic (including curses) that induces desire; if subjected to such magic that allows no saving throw, he may still attempt a Will save (and is unaffected if the save succeeds).
