This spell is the careful wizard’s response to direct attack by his enemies.
When you cast Chernovsky’s impregnable fortress, you are instantly encased in a 5-foot-radius spherical wall of force, and the area 15 feet around the sphere (but not within it) becomes an antimagic field.
At the same time, you are immediately subjected to a targeted greater dispel magic effect that attempts to dispel all magical effects except those that you have applied yourself (spells you’ve personally cast, effects from items that you are wearing or have personally activated, etc.).
The antimagic field and wall of force created by this spell move with you. If you move in a way that causes the wall of force to encounter a solid object, you are subjected to as much resistance as the object provides to the wall; any amount of pressure that you can exert by attempting to force yourself against an object, is also exerted by the wall. (For example, if your wall of force encounters a curtain or similar hanging cloth, you can continue moving forward, just as you would be able to walk through such an obstruction normally; however, if your wall of force encounters a steel door, it (and you) is prevented from moving forward.) You cannot use the wall of force to make Strength checks in an attempt to break through obstructions; you may only force the wall through obstacles you would normally be able to pass through with no check.
Dismissing the spell
You may dismiss the antimagic field or the wall of force, either separately or at the same time, with a free action.
If you dismiss the wall of force before the spell would normally end, you are surrounded by an invisible but tangible field of force, similar to the mage armor spell. This effect provides an armor bonus to AC equal to the number of rounds that the duration of the wall of force effect had remaining; in each subsequent round, at the beginning of your turn, the AC bonus is reduced by 1, and the effect ends when the bonus reaches 0. (The bonus provided by this effect is not modified by applying the Extend Spell feat to Chernovsky’s impregnable fortress; instead, doing so causes the AC bonus of the force armor to be reduced every other round instead of every round.)
If you dismiss the antimagic field before the spell would normally end, you gain spell resistance equal to 12 + the number of rounds that the duration of the antimagic field effect had remaining; in each subsequent round, at the beginning of your turn, the spell resistance is reduced by 1, and the effect ends when the spell resistance reaches 12. (The value of the spell resistance provided by this effect is not modified by applying the Extend Spell feat to Chernovsky’s impregnable fortress; instead, doing so causes the spell resistance value to be reduced every other round instead of every round.)
If the antimagic field is dispelled, or the wall of force is disjoined or disintegrated, you gain the above benefits, just as if you had dismissed the effects yourself.
