An 8-armed lizard statue, hand carved out of green crystal to depict a sess'indarg? (a lizard demon) which (as we know from the Acolytes) are servants of the Dark Devourer.

• Serves as a focus for a powerful mental contact effect, linking the bearer of the statuette - or anyone within 30 feet of it that looks into the statuette's eyes - with all other statuettes (and creatures that do the same there) - as well as with the nexus of this mental contact. (Possibly the Dark Devourer... but still unknown)
  • A side effect of the first function, note, is that by entering into this mental contact, any bearer of such a statuette (or anyone who looks into its eyes) instantly knows the location of all other bearers of similar statuettes (and of nearby creatures)
• Allows magical effects to be projected through the statuette. This is a one-way effect; it is a receiver only, as it were, with regard to such projection.
