Quick Reference

A daylight spell sheds bright light in a 60-foot radius and increases the light level by one step for an additional 60 feet beyond that area (darkness becomes dim light, dim light becomes normal light, and normal light becomes bright light).

This spell conjures a glowing crystal orb, which illuminates a 30-foot radius as brightly as a daylight spell (and improves the illumination level by one step for an additional 30 feet beyond that). The orb floats next to you; as a move action, you may command it to move anywhere within Close range (25 feet +5 feet/2 levels).

Alternately, you may command the crystal to act as a spotlight, projecting its light in a 60-foot cone in the direction you indicate (and improving the illumination level by one step for an additional 60 feet beyond that). You may switch back and forth between radius light and spotlight at will as a free action.

Lastly, as an immediate action, you may cause the crystal to flare, emitting a blinding ray of light at a single creature within Close range of you, who must make a Reflex save or be blinded for 1 round. A successful save means the victim is only dazzled for 1 round. You may use this function of light crystal once per minute; after you use it, the crystal dims, glowing so softly as to be nearly dark, too dark to cause any illumination at all. It remains dark for a minute, after which time it returns to full illumination strength, and is once again ready to flare with blinding light.
