Giant ants are as industrious as their normal-sized kin. While their nests generally don’t consist of thousands, their greatly increased size more than compensates.

Giant ant workers and soldiers are about 6 feet long; drones are slightly larger, and queens can grow to a length of 9 feet.

If a giant ant soldier hits with its bite attack, it deals normal damage and attempts to start a grapple as a free action without provoking an attack of opportunity. The giant ant soldier can only grab targets no more than one size larger than itself.

A giant ant soldier receives a +4 bonus on combat maneuver checks made to start and maintain a grapple.

Sting (Ex)

A giant soldier ant has a stinger and an acid-producing gland in its abdomen. If it successfully grabs an opponent, it can attempt to sting each round (+3 attack bonus). A hit with the sting attack deals 1d4+1 points of piercing damage and 1d4 points of acid damage.
