You brandish the whip, and your target begins to shake uncontrollably, then collapses on the ground, its spasms eventually fading as it dies.
This spell causes wracking pain and violent convulsions, ending in death. The target creature must make a Will save or writhe in pain, helpless, before it dies 1 round later at the start of your turn. A creature that makes the Will save must also succeed on a second Will save or be dazed and take a −4 penalty on saving throws for the duration of the spell.
A creature that fails this second Will save may attempt another save once per round, starting on the second round of the spell’s duration, to recover. (This is a full-round action that does not provoke attacks of opportunity.) A single successful Will save improves the creature’s condition from dazed to nauseated, a second save improves it to slowed, while a third successful Will save allows the creature to recover completely. (The penalty on saving throws, however, remains for the entire duration of the spell, regardless of saving throws.)
