This spell imbues you with the power and authority of the Lower Realms, giving you an impressive appearance, an imperious visage, and a commanding presence. Creatures that see and hear you perceive you with awe and fear. Commanding voice of Nessus grants you the following effects, all of which persist for the spell’s duration.
You gain a +8 bonus on all Charisma-based checks made to influence intelligent creatures in any way.
Once during the spell’s duration, as a free action, you can create a greater command effect on any number of creatures who can hear you, simply by speaking. Affected creatures are entitled to a Will saving throw, and spell resistance applies. This is a mind-affecting, language-dependent compulsion effect.
Any creature that attacks you in melee must succeed at a Will saving throw; on a failure, the attack fails and the attacker bows down before you for one round, helpless. This is a mind-affecting fear effect.
Three times during the spell’s duration, you may attempt to dominate (as dominate monster) any creature within 120 feet. Using this function of commanding voice of Nessus requires one full round, and is equivalent to casting a spell (you provoke attacks of opportunity from any opponents who threaten you, you may be interrupted by damage, etc.). The target creature is entitled to a Will saving throw, and spell resistance applies; this is a mind-affecting compulsion effect. A creature that successfully saves against this effect is immune to all effects of commanding voice of Nessus for the remainder of the spell’s duration.
If the target fails its save, the domination lasts until commanding voice of Nessus ends. You may have up to three creatures so dominated at one time; attempting to dominate additional creatures simply fails, though you may release a dominated creature as a free action.
