Akaar is old—old enough for his hair and long beard to have gone entirely white—but, like the rest of his people, he remains in excellent health for his age. He is the Healer-Superior of the community ruled by the Master. Despite his advanced age and his status, Akaar continues to personally treat patients, overseeing the most difficult cases of illness or injury.
