You can mentally lift and move an object at will from a distance. As a move action, you can propel the object as far as 15 feet in any direction, though the power ends if the distance between you and the object exceeds the power’s range.
You can drop an object and pick up another during the power’s duration, as long as you don’t stop concentrating on maintaining the power. An object can be telekinetically manipulated as if you were moving it with one hand.
If you spend at least 5 rounds concentrating on an unattended object, you can attempt to break or burst it as if making a Strength check, except that you apply your manifesting ability modifier to the check instead of your Strength modifier.
You can hurl an object that you are affecting with this power, expending the telekinetic force you are exerting in one single thrust. An object can be hurled up to 10 feet per manifester level. If you are trying to hit a target with the hurled object, you must succeed on a ranged attack roll, applying your manifesting ability modifier to the attack roll instead of your Dexterity modifier. Hurled weapons deal their standard damage (your Strength bonus does not apply; arrows or bolts deal damage as daggers of their size when used in this manner). Other objects deal damage ranging from 1 point per 25 pounds of weight (for less dangerous objects such as an empty barrel) to 1d6 points per 25 pounds of weight (for hard, dense objects such as a boulder). If you use this power to hurl a creature (see Augment, below) against a solid surface, it takes damage as if it had fallen 10 feet (1d6 points). Using far hand in this way immediately ends the power.
Augment
You can augment this power in any of the following ways.
- If you spend 3 or more additional power points, this power’s weight limit increases to 250 lbs., plus 25 lbs. per additional power point spent after the first 3 (275 lbs. if you spend 4 power points on this augmentation, etc.).
- If you spend 3 additional power points, this power’s range increases to Medium, and you can use a move action to move the affected object up to 30 feet.
- If you spend 2 additional power points, this power can affect creatures or attended objects. A creature can negate the effect on itself or an object it possesses with a successful Will save. If a creature succeeds on its Will save against this effect, either to prevent you moving the creature or an object in its possession, you cannot target another item in that creature’s possession nor the creature itself unless you manifest the power again.
- If you spend 2 additional power points, the maximum duration of this power increases to 1 minute/level. If you spend 4 additional power points, the maximum duration of this power instead increases to 10 minutes/level. (In either case, you must still concentrate to maintain this power.)
Additionally, for every 2 additional power points spent on any of the above options, this power’s save DC increases by 1. (This applies only if you have selected the augmentation that allows this power to affect creatures or attended objects.)
Alternatively, if you expend your psionic focus when manifesting this power, you need not spend any power points to manifest it, but the power cannot be further augmented.
