Psionic focus (A)

While you are psionically focused, as part of any normal movement (including abilities or feats that involve moving as part of another action, such as using Spring Attack), you can move across a wall or other relatively smooth vertical surface if you begin and end your move on a horizontal surface. If you do not end your move on a horizontal surface, you fall prone, taking falling damage as appropriate for your distance above the ground.

The height you can achieve on the wall is limited only by this movement restriction. Treat the wall as a normal floor for the purpose of measuring your movement. Passing from floor to wall or wall to floor costs no movement; you can change surfaces freely.

You need not make Climb checks to traverse walls while using this power. While wall walking, you retain your Dexterity bonus to Armor Class, if any, and opponents gain no special bonuses against you.

Opponents on the ground can make attacks of opportunity as you move up the wall.

If you expend your psionic focus while using up the walls, you can take other, non-movement, actions (such as attacking) after moving across a wall, without falling prone. You must still make an Acrobatics check to land safely after doing this.

You can take other move actions in conjunction with moving along a wall. For instance, the Spring Attack feat allows you to make an attack from the wall against a foe standing on the ground who is within the area you threaten; however, if you are somehow prevented from completing your move, you fall. Likewise, you could tumble along the wall to avoid attacks of opportunity.

Augment

You can augment this power in any of the following ways.

  1. If you spend 1 power point as a free action at the end of your round, you can remain on a wall at the end of your turn without falling.
  2. If you spend 3 power points as a free action at the beginning of your round, you can traverse a ceiling (or other horizontal or sloped surface, upside-down) in that round, in the same way as this power normally lets you walk on walls.
