Mace of disruption
A mace of disruption is the bane of all undead. It appears to be a mace +1, but against an undead creature its critical threat range is doubled. The mace also deals +2d6 additional damage to undead (increased to +4d6 on a successful critical strike). This extra damage is not physical, but rather sunlight, like the searing light spell. Finally, any undead creature struck by a mace of disruption must succeed on a Fortitude saving throw (DC equal to 10 + extra sunlight damage dealt) or be destroyed. Creatures that are particularly vulnerable to sunlight take a −2 penalty on this save.
A mace of disruption glows like a candle when any undead are within 30 feet of it. Undead creatures instinctively fear such weapons, and will try to destroy anyone who wields one; if they cannot, they will usually flee.
(Other bludgeoning weapons, such as warhammers or morningstars, may occasionally be crafted with similar properties.)
