Bag of flames

This is a red burlap sack that weighs about 1 pound, and feels warm to the touch. Three tiny embers are contained within it; they can be removed safely if the command word is spoken (otherwise, they burn the hand or appendage that touches them for 1 point of fire damage, and disintegrate into ash). Embers removed from the bag regenerate each day at dawn.

Removing an ember from the bag allows the user to produce any of several effects (each of which consumes the removed embers):

Produce flame: You can crush an ember in your hand; if you do so, flame burns in your hand, as the produce flame spell, with a duration of 1 minute. Your melee touch attack deals 1d6+5 points of fire damage, or you can hurl the flame up to 120 feet as a ranged touch attack that deals 2d6+5 points of fire damage (and ends the duration).

Summon elementals: You can hurl one or more embers up to 30 feet away, whereupon they immediately turn into Small fire elementals. The elementals are under your control (as if summoned by summon nature’s ally) and remain for 1 minute. You can summon multiple elementals at once by withdrawing multiple embers. You can also combine two embers to summon a Medium fire elemental, or three embers to summon a Large fire elemental.

Flame spit: You can put an ember in your mouth, where it quickly dissolves, making your mouth and tongue feel as though they are burning (but you take no actual damage). This grants you the ability to spit fire, just like a potion of fire breath. (Each ember you consume in this way grants you one use of the fire spit; as with the potion, you can also breathe out a fiery exhalation that consumes all remaining uses.) The effect lasts for 10 minutes, or until used up.

Fire shield: You can crumble three embers onto your head, whereupon faint wisps of flame cover your body. This grants you the effect of fire shield (warm shield) for 1 minute.
